Back up any files you want to keep
Sign out of your Chromebook
Turn off your Chromebook
Turn it on
Immediately press and hold the Refresh key (circular arrow)
While holding Refresh, press and hold the Power button
Release the Power button when the screen turns on
Release the Refresh key when the recovery screen appears
Press Ctrl + D to dismiss the recovery message
Press Enter to confirm
Wait for the factory reset to complete
When prompted, follow the on-screen setup steps to set up your Chromebook
If you can’t access the recovery screen, sign in to your Chromebook
Open Settings
Select Advanced
Select Reset settings
Select Powerwash
Select Restart
Select Powerwash again to confirm
