How To File FIR?

Go to the nearest police station

Tell the police officer the incident clearly

Provide your name, address, and contact details

Give the date, time, and place of the incident

Share the names and details of accused persons, if known

Mention witnesses, if any

Carry any supporting documents, photos, videos, or messages

Ask the police to record your complaint as an FIR

Read the FIR carefully before signing it

Request a free copy of the FIR

If the police refuse, submit a written complaint to the Station House Officer

If still refused, send the complaint to the Superintendent of Police by post or email

If needed, approach the Magistrate under the law

Keep copies of all complaints and acknowledgments
