Type the person’s name, username, or full name
Check the Accounts tab in the search results
Look for profile photos, bios, and mutual followers to identify the correct person
Search by phone number or email if the account is linked to contacts and synced
Use mutual followers’ following lists to find the person
Search related hashtags, locations, or tagged posts if you know their interests or city
Check suggested accounts that may appear in search results
Search the person’s name on a web search engine with Instagram added
Ask the person for their exact username if you cannot find them
