Check mutual servers and member lists
Search by exact username and display name
Use Discord tags if you have them
Look through your Friends list and recent DMs
Check shared server roles and channels
Use the Add Friend option with the correct username
Ask mutual friends or server members
Search connected accounts if the person shares them publicly
Use server member search on servers where they are present
