Open Microsoft Word
Go to File
Select Info
Click Manage Document or Manage Versions
Look for Recover Unsaved Documents
Open the recovered file you want
Save it immediately with a new name
Check the Document Recovery pane if it appears when Word restarts
Look in the AutoRecover file location if needed
Search for files with .asd or .wbk extensions
Check the Recent list under File
Use File > Open > Recover Unsaved Documents if available
