How to Find Reference Angles?
Identify the angle’s quadrant
Find the angle’s distance from the x-axis
For Quadrant I, the reference angle is the angle itself
For Quadrant II, subtract the angle from 180°
For Quadrant III, subtract 180° from the angle
For Quadrant IV, subtract the angle from 360°
For angles greater than 360°, subtract or add 360° until the angle is between 0° and 360°
For negative angles, add 360° until the angle is between 0° and 360°
Use the resulting acute angle as the reference angle
