How to Find the Mass of an Atom?

Identify the element and its atomic mass on the periodic table

Use the atomic mass in atomic mass units (amu)

Convert amu to grams if needed using 1 amu = 1.66054 × 10^-24 g

For one atom, multiply the atomic mass by 1.66054 × 10^-24 g

For a specific number of atoms, multiply the mass of one atom by the number of atoms

If using moles, multiply the molar mass by the number of moles

Use Avogadro’s number, 6.022 × 10^23 atoms/mol, when converting between atoms and moles
