Check the tire sidewall for the size marking
Look for the number after the letter R in the tire size, such as 205/55R16
Use the last number in the tire size marking as the rim diameter in inches
Inspect the wheel itself for stamped size information on the back side or inner barrel
Check the vehicle owner’s manual or door jamb placard for factory wheel size
Measure the wheel diameter from bead seat to bead seat if no marking is available
Measure the wheel width across the inside of the rim if needed
Confirm the bolt pattern and offset if replacing the rim
Compare the rim size with the tire size to ensure compatibility
