Check the wheel’s stamped markings on the back, inside barrel, or near the hub pad
Look for an offset marking such as ET35, ET45, or +35
Measure the wheel width from bead seat to bead seat
Measure the overall wheel width from outer lip to outer lip
Find the wheel centerline by dividing the bead seat width by 2
Measure the mounting pad distance from the wheel’s inner edge to the hub-mounting surface
Subtract the centerline measurement from the mounting pad measurement
Convert the result to millimeters if needed
Use a wheel offset calculator with the width and mounting pad measurements
Compare the result to the vehicle’s recommended offset range
Check the vehicle owner’s manual or manufacturer wheel specifications
Ask a tire shop or wheel retailer to verify the offset
Use a straightedge and ruler or caliper for accurate measurement
