See an ear, nose, and throat specialist for an evaluation
Use saline nasal sprays or rinses
Treat allergies with appropriate medications
Use decongestants only as directed and for short-term relief
Use nasal steroid sprays if prescribed
Avoid smoking and other nasal irritants
Sleep with your head elevated
Use a humidifier to keep air moist
Consider septoplasty to permanently correct the deviation
Consider turbinate reduction if enlarged turbinates are contributing to blockage
Follow all preoperative and postoperative instructions if surgery is done
