How to Fix a Lost Voice?
Rest your voice as much as possible
Avoid whispering
Drink plenty of water
Sip warm fluids like tea or broth
Use honey if you are not allergic and are over 1 year old
Use a humidifier or inhale steam
Avoid smoking and secondhand smoke
Avoid alcohol and caffeine
Avoid shouting, singing, or long conversations
Limit throat clearing
Suck on lozenges or hard candy
Avoid spicy or acidic foods if they irritate your throat
Treat allergies, reflux, or a cold if they are the cause
Get enough sleep
See a doctor if hoarseness lasts more than 2 weeks
Seek urgent care if you have trouble breathing, severe pain, coughing blood, or sudden voice loss after injury
