Reset the PS5 controller using the small reset button on the back near the L2 shoulder button
Power off the PS5 completely
Reconnect the controller with a USB data cable
Press the PS button to re-pair the controller
Go to Settings > Accessories > Controller > Communication Method and set it to Use USB Cable
Check for PS5 system software updates
Check for controller firmware updates
Test the controller in Safe Mode
Rebuild the PS5 database from Safe Mode
Remove any thumbstick caps or accessories
Clean around the analog sticks with compressed air
Check for stick drift in different games and menus
Try a different USB cable and USB port
Disconnect other Bluetooth devices nearby
Delete the controller from Bluetooth devices and re-pair it
Restore default settings on the PS5
Initialize the PS5 if the issue continues
Replace the controller if calibration problems persist
