How to Fix Sagging Headliner?

Remove the headliner board from the vehicle

Peel off the old fabric and scrape away all loose foam and adhesive

Clean the board thoroughly with a dry brush or vacuum

Measure and cut new headliner fabric with extra allowance

Apply high-temperature spray adhesive evenly to the board and fabric backing

Wait for the adhesive to become tacky

Press the fabric onto the board from the center outward

Smooth out wrinkles and bubbles as you go

Trim excess fabric around edges, openings, and cutouts

Reinstall the headliner board in the vehicle

Replace trim pieces, visors, handles, lights, and other removed parts

Use headliner repair pins or adhesive for small sagging areas if full replacement is not needed

Avoid using low-temperature glue or regular household adhesive

Keep the vehicle interior cool and dry to help prevent future sagging
