Enable V-Sync in the game and/or graphics control panel
Use a Fast Sync / Adaptive Sync option (if available)
Enable Adaptive Sync / FreeSync / G-Sync (match your monitor + GPU support)
Set the game’s FPS limit to just below your monitor’s refresh rate (e.g., 144 Hz → cap at 141–143)
Use the monitor’s native refresh rate in Windows display settings
Update GPU drivers to the latest version
Update your monitor firmware (if available)
Change the display cable (try a different HDMI/DisplayPort cable)
Ensure the cable is connected to the correct port on the GPU and monitor
Disable any “overclock” on the monitor or GPU that increases refresh rates beyond stable limits
Turn off variable refresh rate features you don’t fully support (or toggle between V-Sync and VRR)
Disable unnecessary overlays (Discord, GeForce overlay, Steam overlay)
Reset graphics settings in the game to defaults, then re-enable only needed options
