Check whether the tape is jammed, twisted, or loose
Open the dispenser carefully
Rewind the tape spool if it has come off track
Re-seat the tape so it runs smoothly over the tip
Trim any torn or wrinkled tape end
Replace the tape cartridge if the tape is broken or empty
Clean dust or debris from the dispenser tip and rollers
Tighten any loose parts on the dispenser
Test the tape on scrap paper
Replace the entire dispenser if it still does not work
