Check the controller battery level and replace or recharge the batteries
Turn the controller off and back on
Restart the Xbox Series X console
Re-sync the controller using the Pair button on the console and controller
Connect the controller to the console with a USB-C cable
Remove and reinsert the batteries
Update the controller firmware in Xbox settings
Update the console system software
Power cycle the console by unplugging it for 30 seconds
Try a different USB-C cable
Test the controller on another Xbox or compatible device
Disconnect other wireless devices near the console
Clean the controller buttons and sticks
Reset the controller by holding the Xbox button for 10 seconds
Replace the controller batteries or battery pack
Contact Xbox Support if the controller still does not respond
