Stand the scooter on a flat surface
Locate the folding mechanism near the base of the handlebar stem
Release the locking latch or lever
Push the stem forward or downward as the model requires
Fold the handlebar stem down toward the deck
Secure the folded stem with the carry latch or hook if available
Check that the scooter is locked in the folded position
