Press Command + Option + Esc
Select the unresponsive app
Click Force Quit
Click Force Quit again if prompted
Click the Apple menu
Choose Force Quit
Select the app
Click Force Quit
Open Activity Monitor
Find the app
Select it
Click the X button
Click Force Quit
Right-click the app icon in the Dock
Hold Option
Click Force Quit
Press Command + Option + Shift + Esc for a few seconds to force the front app to quit
