Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter
Find Windows Update
Right-click Windows Update and select Properties
Set Startup type to Disabled
Click Stop
Click Apply
Click OK
Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter
Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update
Open Configure Automatic Updates
Set it to Disabled
Click Apply
Click OK
Press Win + I
Go to Update & Security > Windows Update
Click Advanced options
Turn off automatic update options if available
Press Win + R, type netsh, and press Enter
Use metered connection for your Wi-Fi network
Open Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi
Click your connected network
Turn on Set as metered connection
Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindowsWindowsUpdateAU
Create or set NoAutoUpdate to 1
Restart your PC
