Open the in-game menu
Click Save
Click Save As
Choose a new save slot or overwrite the current one
Press Ctrl + S on PC
Press Command + S on Mac
Wait for the save icon to finish
If the game is frozen, use Task Manager on PC or Force Quit on Mac
Restart the game and check the most recent autosave
Delete the cache files only if needed before reopening the game
