Label with the date
Freeze flat if possible
Freeze cake layers separately if needed
Freeze unfrosted cake for best results
Freeze frosted cake only if the frosting freezes well
Thaw in the refrigerator before serving
Keep the cake wrapped while thawing
Use within 2 to 3 months for best quality
