Hold a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license or learner’s permit
Complete a Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program course or pass the motorcycle knowledge and skills tests at PennDOT
If under 18, complete the required training and follow all junior driver licensing rules
Visit a PennDOT Driver License Center to apply for the motorcycle learner’s permit
Pass the motorcycle knowledge test and vision screening
Practice riding with the motorcycle learner’s permit and follow permit restrictions
Schedule and pass the motorcycle skills test, or present proof of course completion if applicable
Pay the required fees
Receive the motorcycle endorsement added to your Pennsylvania driver’s license
