Download CC files from trusted Sims 4 mod sites
Extract ZIP or RAR files if needed
Place .package files in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods
Place script mods in the same Mods folder, no deeper than one subfolder
Enable Custom Content and Mods in Game Options
Enable Script Mods in Game Options if needed
Restart the game after adding CC
Check the Mods list on game launch to confirm it loaded
Keep CC updated after game patches
Remove broken CC if the game crashes or content disappears
