Shut down the Mac and unplug any cables
Turn the keyboard upside down and gently tap it
Shake it lightly to dislodge loose crumbs
Use compressed air in short bursts at an angle
Rotate the keyboard and repeat from different sides
Use a soft, dry brush to sweep debris away
Use a microfiber cloth to wipe the surface
Use a silicone cleaning gel or putty carefully on the keys
Use tweezers for visible crumbs near key edges
Remove keycaps only if your keyboard model supports it
Clean around the keys with a cotton swab
Avoid using liquid cleaners directly on the keyboard
Let the keyboard dry completely before using it again
