Let the glue cool and harden completely
Gently peel off any loose glue with your fingers or a dull edge
Place the fabric in the freezer for 20 to 30 minutes if the glue is still soft
Scrape off more hardened glue carefully with a dull knife or spoon
Put a paper towel or clean cloth under the stain
Heat the area with an iron on low setting through a paper towel to soften the glue
Blot softened glue onto the paper towel as it transfers
Apply rubbing alcohol or acetone to a hidden area first to test for fabric damage
Dab the glue spot with rubbing alcohol or acetone using a cotton ball
Wash the clothing according to the care label after removing the glue
Repeat the process if any residue remains
Air dry the garment before using heat again to make sure the glue is gone
