Wait for the dragon egg to appear on the exit portal
Do not punch the egg directly
Place a torch or other block under the egg
Break the block the egg is sitting on
Let the egg fall onto the torch or block
Collect the dragon egg item by picking it up
In Bedrock Edition, use a piston to push the egg
In Java Edition, use gravity or torch methods to move it safely
