Take the clothes outside and brush off any loose mold
Wear gloves and a mask if needed
Check the care label before treating the fabric
Soak the stained area in white vinegar for 30 to 60 minutes
Scrub gently with a soft brush or old toothbrush
Wash with the hottest water safe for the fabric
Add laundry detergent and 1 cup of white vinegar or oxygen bleach
For stubborn stains, make a paste of baking soda and water and apply it to the stain
Let the paste sit for 15 to 30 minutes
Wash again after treatment
Dry the clothes in direct sunlight if possible
Repeat the process if the stain remains
Do not put the item in the dryer until the stain is gone
Use oxygen bleach only on color-safe fabrics
Use chlorine bleach only on white, bleach-safe fabrics
Store clean clothes in a dry, well-ventilated place
