Blot up any wet polish immediately with a paper towel; do not rub
Scrape off any dried excess with a dull knife or spoon
Test acetone or nail polish remover on a hidden carpet spot first
Dab the stain with a small amount of acetone or non-acetone remover using a clean white cloth
Blot from the outside of the stain toward the center
Repeat with fresh cloths until the polish lifts
Rinse the area with a cloth dampened with cold water
Blot dry with a clean towel
Apply a small amount of mild dish soap mixed with water if residue remains
Blot again with clean water to remove soap
Sprinkle baking soda on the area after cleaning to help absorb moisture
Vacuum once the carpet is completely dry
If the stain remains, use a carpet cleaner or contact a professional cleaner
