Open the group text message
Tap the group name, contact names, or info icon
Look for Leave this conversation or Exit group
Tap Leave this Conversation
Confirm if prompted
If no leave option appears, mute the conversation
Turn off notifications for the group
Delete the conversation if needed
Ask the group admin to remove you if it is an admin-managed group
Block the sender if you want to stop future messages from that person
