Let the playdough dry completely
Vacuum up loose pieces
Scrape off hardened bits with a dull knife or spoon
Mix warm water with a small amount of dish soap
Dampen a clean cloth with the soapy water
Blot the stain gently
Repeat blotting with clean water to remove soap residue
Use a soft brush to lift remaining bits if needed
Blot dry with a clean towel
Let the carpet air dry completely
Vacuum the area again once dry
