Keep the wart clean and dry
Soak the wart in warm water for 5 to 10 minutes
Gently file the wart surface with a disposable emery board or pumice stone
Apply salicylic acid wart treatment as directed on the product label
Cover the wart with a bandage or duct tape after treatment
Repeat daily until the wart is gone
Use a separate towel and avoid picking or scratching the wart
Wash your hands after touching the wart
Stop treatment and seek medical advice if the skin becomes very red, painful, swollen, or infected
See a doctor if the wart is on the face, genitals, or near the eyes
See a doctor if you have diabetes, poor circulation, or a weakened immune system
See a doctor if the wart is bleeding, changing, or not improving after several weeks
