Wear protective clothing only if you must stay near the area
Avoid spraying, burning, flooding, or sealing the hive yourself
Remove nearby food, trash, and sweet liquids
Close windows and doors near the hive
Mark off the area until the hive is removed
If anyone is stung and has a severe reaction, call emergency services immediately
