Keep the baby upright for 15 to 20 minutes after feeding
Burp the baby during and after feeds
Feed smaller amounts more slowly
Check the bottle nipple flow if bottle-feeding
Pause feeding if the baby seems uncomfortable
Offer a pacifier
Gently rub or pat the baby’s back
Wait it out, since hiccups usually stop on their own
Do not try home remedies meant for older children or adults
Contact a pediatrician if hiccups happen often, last a long time, or seem to bother the baby
