Absorb fresh oil with cat litter, baking soda, sawdust, or commercial absorbent
Sweep up the absorbent and place it in a sealed bag or container
Wash the area with dish soap and hot water
Scrub concrete with a degreaser or laundry detergent
Rinse thoroughly and repeat if needed
Use a pressure washer on driveways or outdoor concrete
Apply a poultice or oil stain remover for set-in stains
Dispose of used oil, absorbents, and rags at a local hazardous waste facility
Take used motor oil to an auto parts store or recycling center
Never pour motor oil down drains, onto soil, or into storm sewers
Store used oil in a sealed, labeled container until disposal or recycling
