Wait until dusk or early morning when mud daubers are less active
Wear long sleeves, pants, gloves, and eye protection
Spray the nest with a wasp/insecticide labeled for mud daubers, if needed
Leave the nest undisturbed for the time specified on the product label
Scrape the nest off with a putty knife, scraper, or paint scraper
Place the nest and debris into a sealed trash bag
Dispose of the bag immediately in an outdoor trash bin
Clean the area with soap and water to remove residue
Seal cracks, gaps, and openings where mud daubers build nests
Repair screens, vents, and soffits
Reduce spider populations around the property
Remove old nests and mud buildup promptly
Contact a pest control professional for large, hard-to-reach, or recurring nests
