Rest and stay home until at least 48 hours after symptoms stop
Drink small, frequent sips of water, oral rehydration solution, or clear fluids
Eat bland foods only if tolerated
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, dairy, greasy foods, and spicy foods
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water
Clean and disinfect contaminated surfaces with a bleach-based cleaner
Wash soiled clothing, towels, and bedding in hot water
Do not prepare food for others while sick and for 48 hours after symptoms end
Avoid close contact with others until symptoms have fully resolved
Seek medical care if you cannot keep fluids down, have signs of dehydration, severe symptoms, or symptoms last more than a few days
