Keep the area clean and dry
Shower after sweating or exercise

Apply a non-comedogenic moisturizer if skin gets dry
Avoid heavy, oily lotions on the area
Use clean towels and change them often
Wash bedding and underwear regularly
Try warm compresses on tender bumps
Reduce friction from cycling, workouts, or tight seams
See a doctor if bumps are painful, spreading, draining pus, or not improving
Seek medical care if you have fever or recurrent severe breakouts
