Seal and throw away heavily infested packaging
Vacuum pantry shelves, corners, cracks, and baseboards thoroughly
Wipe pantry surfaces with hot, soapy water or vinegar solution
Empty and clean all nearby storage containers
Freeze suspect dry goods at 0°F / -18°C for at least 4 days
Heat-treat dry goods at 140°F / 60°C for at least 1 hour
Store dry foods in airtight glass, metal, or thick plastic containers
Inspect all new dry goods before bringing them into the pantry
Keep pantry dry and clean up spills immediately
Use pheromone traps or pantry insect traps
Check for infestation in adjacent cabinets and storage areas
Repeat cleaning and inspection regularly
