Check the care label
Blot the stain with a clean cloth
Rinse the back of the stain with cold water
Apply liquid laundry detergent directly to the stain
Gently rub the fabric together or use a soft brush
Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes
Rinse again with cold water
Repeat if needed
Wash the clothing in the warmest water safe for the fabric
Air dry and check the stain before using a dryer
Do not dry the item until the stain is gone
Use stain remover for stubborn stains
For grease stains, apply dish soap before washing
For ink stains, dab with rubbing alcohol
For blood stains, use cold water only
For mud stains, let it dry first and brush off excess before washing
