Use compressed air in short, gentle bursts from a distance
Use a small vacuum designed for electronics if available
Inspect the port with a flashlight
Repeat gently if needed
Do not use metal objects
Do not use water or liquid cleaners
Do not blow into the port with your mouth
Stop if the port feels damaged or the device will not charge
Take it to a repair shop if sand remains stuck
