Check whether the smoke detector is chirping for a low battery
Replace the battery with a fresh one
Make sure the battery is installed correctly
Press and hold the test/reset button for 15–20 seconds
Clean dust and debris from the detector with a vacuum or soft brush
Check if the detector is at end of life and needs replacement
Replace the smoke detector if it is more than 10 years old
Verify the detector is securely mounted
If it is hardwired, check the circuit breaker and power connection
Reset the alarm after restoring power
Replace the detector if the beeping continues
Contact the manufacturer if the unit still will not stop beeping
