Scrape off any excess residue with a dull knife or credit card
Place the fabric in the freezer for 15 to 30 minutes, then peel or scrape off the hardened residue
Apply rubbing alcohol to a clean cloth and blot the sticky area
Use white vinegar on the residue and let it sit for a few minutes before blotting
Rub a small amount of dish soap into the spot, then rinse with warm water
Apply baking soda mixed with water to form a paste, then gently rub and rinse
Pre-treat with laundry detergent and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes
Wash the clothing according to the care label
Air-dry the garment and check that the residue is gone before using heat
Repeat the treatment if any residue remains
