Turn off the device immediately

Hold the device with the charging port facing downward
Gently tap the device against your palm to help drain water
Wipe the outside of the port with a dry, lint-free cloth
Leave the device in a dry, well-ventilated area
Use a fan to blow cool air across the port
Let the device dry for several hours
Avoid using heat sources like hair dryers or ovens
Avoid inserting cotton swabs, paper, or sharp objects into the port
Do not charge the device until the port is completely dry
If available, use silica gel packets near the device
If the device shows a liquid detection warning, wait until it clears before charging
