Check your IRS account for the six-digit IP PIN
Use the current year IP PIN when filing your tax return

If you received a CP01A notice, use the IP PIN listed in that letter
If you lost your IP PIN, retrieve it through your IRS Online Account
If you cannot retrieve it online, contact the IRS for help with identity verification
