How to Grow Lion’s Mane Mushrooms?

Choose a growing method: grow kit, sawdust block, or supplemented hardwood substrate

Use clean, fresh Lion’s Mane grain spawn from a reliable source

Prepare the substrate with hardwood sawdust and supplements if using a custom setup

Sterilize or pasteurize the substrate as required

Inoculate the cooled substrate with spawn in a clean environment

Seal the bag or container with filter patches or proper gas exchange

Incubate at about 65–75°F until fully colonized

Keep the colonized block in indirect light with high humidity

Cut slits or open the bag where mushrooms will fruit

Maintain humidity around 85–95%

Provide fresh air exchange to prevent malformed growth

Keep temperature around 60–70°F during fruiting

Mist lightly as needed to keep the surface moist without soaking it

Harvest when the spines are well formed and before yellowing

Cut the mushroom cleanly at the base

Store harvested mushrooms in the refrigerator and use soon

Clean and sanitize all tools and growing areas between batches
