Choose healthy seed potatoes or organic potatoes with visible eyes
Let the potatoes sprout in a cool, bright place for 1 to 2 weeks
Cut large potatoes into pieces with at least 1 to 2 eyes per piece

Prepare loose, well-draining soil in a sunny location
Plant potato pieces 4 to 6 inches deep with eyes facing up
