Measure the wall space and mark the shelf location
Use a stud finder to locate wall studs
Mark the stud positions on the wall
Hold the shelf bracket or mounting hardware against the wall
Level the bracket and mark the screw holes
Drill pilot holes at the marked spots
Insert wall anchors if studs are not available
Secure the bracket to the wall with screws
Slide or attach the floating shelf onto the bracket
Check that the shelf is level and firmly mounted
Tighten all hardware
Test the shelf with light weight before full use
