Wait until the plant is at least 6 inches tall
Harvest in the morning after the dew has dried
Use clean scissors or pruning shears
Cut stems just above a leaf node
Take no more than one-third of the plant at a time
Choose healthy, leafy stems
Avoid harvesting from woody, weak, or flowering stems if possible
Pinch off flower buds to encourage leaf growth
Rinse the cut stems if needed
Bundle stems loosely for drying
Strip leaves from stems after drying
Store dried oregano in an airtight container
Harvest regularly to promote fuller growth
