Stand up slowly
Avoid driving or operating machinery
Eat if low blood sugar is possible
Avoid alcohol
Try the Epley maneuver if the vertigo is from BPPV
Try the Brandt-Daroff exercises if recommended
Take prescribed vertigo medicine as directed
Treat nausea if needed with approved medication
See a doctor if vertigo is severe, frequent, or persistent
Seek urgent care if you have chest pain, fainting, weakness, trouble speaking, severe headache, or new hearing loss
