Open WhatsApp
Tap the three dots or Settings
Go to Chats
Tap Chat backup if needed
Restore the backup during WhatsApp setup
Verify your phone number
Tap Restore when prompted
Wait for chats to import
Open the chat you want to import
Tap the contact or group name
Select Export chat if you need to save it
Choose whether to include media
Save or share the exported chat file
On a new phone, install WhatsApp
Verify the same phone number
Restore from Google Drive or iCloud backup
Use local backup files if no cloud backup is available
Keep the same account and phone number for successful import
